As a program coordinator I am working with various companies and brands on and off our campus. My section focuses on the off-campus activities rather than on-site. I am normally negotiating deals and purchasing tickets for our students for a well managed price. Just recently I finished a deal with the Charlotte Hornets and securing 60 tickets for purchase for our students and currently in the process of making jerseys to hand out as a novelty. This job has taught me a lot about the importance of time management skills and communication skills with myself and my team members so that our events can run as smooth as possible. I would work the sales floor and helping the customers find the article of clothing they were looking for. I would assist them whenever we had promotions or deals currently happening online or in the store. I would help them set up an American Eagle store card if they wished to have them, and if any customers wanted help finding an outfit we were encouraged to help out in that areas as well, and that was a fun bonus in the job.
