OBJECTIVE

Goal-oriented and focused individual pursuing a challenging position with a reputable company to utilize and expand my knowledge and skills; to be employed with a company that provides continuous learning and growth.

EXPERIENCE

2006-November 2023 Sioux City Police Department

Roles and responsibilities included patrolman in Uniform Bureau where you begin your career and learn how to work in a solo environment or as a team and learn to triage events with multiple officers and agencies in a concerted effort. Additionally, you take service calls, deal with the public in various manners and environments, and use basic investigative skills. I further worked in the ASAP (Alcohol Safety Action Program), dealing with intoxicated drivers and developing patience and strong listening skills with people not in their normal state and developing a keen eye to attention to detail and investigating cases that require a lot of detailed report writing skills. I’ve also worked as detective in the Crimes Against Persons Unit where you have to be selected to work in an elite unit investigating felonious crimes such as assaults, homicides and sex crimes of all nature. I’ve worked all three shifts over the course of my career. One of my most prized positions held and managed for the police department was in the Honor Guard where I have traveled all over the United States to attend fallen officers services as a representative for the department and I’ve served in many ways within the community at various events. 2002-2006 Lowes Home Improvement

Roles and responsibilities included Loss Prevention; reviewing daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports of shrink items and marginal loss items, developing and implementing prevention plans to avoid store losses through theft, internally and externally and developing training for proper inventory control methods. Did daily walks of the floor ensuring safety measures were adhered to and in place for merchandise and employees. Met with management team(s) on daily and weekly basis or as necessary. While working in management, I reviewed company merchandising planograms, checked inventory, and ordered materials as necessary and always kept a 2-month supply on hand of high sales items. Reviewed sales reports. Merchandised departments and had endcaps and j-hooks coordinated for add on sales and cart starters. Scheduled employees and coverage for departments. Ensured sales floor was neat, clean, and kept orderly and merchandise was front faced.
