EXPERIENCE
Heritage Property & Casualty Insurance, Tampa, FL
October 2022 - February 2024
Analyzed and timely responded to voluminous discovery requests and provided trial support. During part of my time at Heritage, I was assigned to assist an office that was handling copious amounts of first party property claims following a catastrophe. I analyzed the case statuses, prioritized files, and timely and thoroughly handled an extremely high volume of discovery. I was able to catch up on all past due discovery while timely responding to the daily influx of new cases. I was instrumental in streamlining the process for preparing discovery responses and establishing timelines to ensure discovery and motion responses were prepared in time and provided to attorneys in a timely manner. My responsibilities for that assignment also included propounding discovery and monitoring files to ensure timely receipt of discovery responses, reviewing and summarizing the responses for attorney review. Hinshaw & Culbertson, Tampa, FL
December 2011 through May 2022
Responsible for handling all aspects of the defense of State and Federal cases, ensuring compliance with varying rules throughout the State and Federal Court systems. A very high concentration in Federal litigation in multiple states where Hinshaw maintains offices. I oversaw high volumes of litigation files to ensure deadlines were met. My responsibilities included intensive review and summation of sensitive records and conferences with attorneys regarding litigation strategy. I fully prepared for numerous State Court trials including meeting with experts, responding to expert discovery, meeting all deadlines in the Court’s trial Order, Statutes, Rules, and judicial preferences. During my time at Hinshaw, I converted the management of copious amounts of records that were maintained on paper to fully digital files, which expedited the review process immensely and significantly reduced costs.
