White Mountain Orthopedatics

May 2023 to current mid level provider role. Run own clinic 20-30 patients per day. Patient evaluation and education, removing /placing casts, removing pins, Pre-op post op management, fracture management, x ray reads, consultation, ordering and reviewing labs, writing prescriptions, joint and trigger point injections. Can take xray. I am working towards first assist. I have been logging OR cases to meet the pre requisition requirements for the online program for NPs.

Banner Urgent care

January 2016-March 2023: Provider role for busy urgent care facility. 13 hour shift will see anywhere from 25-50 patients a day. All ages. Assessment, diagnostics, plan of care and treatment are included in duties. Sport physicals, DOT physicals and well woman checks included. Minor procedures include reducing and stabilizing fractures and dislocations. Laceration repair, wound/abscess/cyst drainage. IV rehydration, splinting, X-ray, EKG and lab interpretation. If unable to manage patient’s illness/injury, arrange for immediate transportation to ER and facilitate transfer of care. I float to different clinics as needed. The charting system is Cerner

Dec 2015-Oct 2016 Midlevel provider in the emergency department. Facility averages 80 patients in a 24hour period. Majority of the patients are level 1-3. General population is a high acuity medical geriatric population. We receive a large amount of EMS transports trauma. This is the only hospital for the area. Rural area with the majority of patients in poverty level, under served area. Charting system is Cerner

July 2015- Jan 2017: locums assignment Midlevel provider in the emergency department. Facility averages 80 patients in a 24hour period. Majority of the patients are level 1-3. General population is a high acuity medical geriatric population. We receive a large amount of EMS transports trauma patients daily due to the proximity to Laughlin NV and the Colorado River. This includes boating, Jet Ski, heat exposure and lots of alcohol consumption. Drowning, and water sport traumas are frequent. The charting system used is Med Host and virtual scribes are provided.

September 2014-Feb 2015: 3-month locum assignment Midlevel provider for a busy rural emergency room, working with a Medical doctor. All ages. Assessment, diagnostics, plan of care and treatment are included in duties. Work ups include basic urgent care as well as abdominal, cardiac, lab, CT, ultra sound and x-ray interpretation. Major portion of clientele is Native American and cultural based knowledge and sensitivity is a critical part of the plan of care of the patients. The charting system is “T-Sheets”.

October 2013-January 2014: Consultation and injection of Botox and wrinkle fillers. Training under Lisa Daniels PA. Prior to that I assisted and trained with Dr. Suzie Bazzell in Botox injection. I served in the role of RN. Mixing and drawing up product, reviewing medical questionnaires with clients prior to procedure, discussing risks and benefits as well as expected outcomes. Spa changed hands and injections were no longer being done.
