Assistant Manager - Warehouse & Logistics Emerson Process management Chennai From Nov 2011 till date

Responsible for handling Raw Materials in Stores, Work-in-Progress, Finished Goods Warehouse, Inbound & Outbound Logistics, Packing, and shipping.

Strong support to Internal and External Customers for Smooth operation to meet the Sales Target and serve as a subject matter expertise.

Responsible for preparation of annual budget for Warehouse and Logistics management.

Effective utilization of space in the Warehouse and Coordinating with Manufacturing Engineering and Cross-Functional Teams for New Improvements and developments, taken in the warehouse and Logistics departments.

Using the Supply Chain Optimization (SCO) portal for booking Export shipments (Air/Sea) through Oracle Database and using of Rate Request team for Cost estimation to proceed with the shipments.

Co-ordinate with AR and Local finance team for processing the Audit freight bills, Duty payments (Import, Export), and Service provider’s bills on time.

Regularly reviewing Local Transporters Forwarders, and Customs House agents to ensure their delivery performance (KPI) improvements and cost negotiations.

Coordinating with ME & KAIZEN teams for new improvement and Layout preparation of the Warehouse and active participate in LEAN and KAIZEN programs.

1.Cost saving & avoidance

Using my good negotiation skills and relationship, we are operating with the Packaging service provider without any price increase from 2018 onwards.

Domestic Carriers Agreements were also revised from May’22 onwards only after four years. We have operated with the same Carriers from 2018 to April 2022 without any price increase after negotiating with them and kept old rates with the help of Our Corporate Logistics.
