July 2022 - June 2023

I do a variety of work under the guidance of the architect and employees. I assisted in the project development process. During the beginning phases of a project I would assist in code search, as well as making sure all parts of the building followed these codes. During the creation of the drawings I would make sure all information was consistent through all the drawings. Also, changes made through the design process also meant that I had to keep updating the drawings until the final stages of a project. I also assisted in replying to and revising drawings depending on the feedback given from the city, county, etc.

Most of my architectural work at Leo A. Daly falls under the categories of Project Planning & Design, Project Development & Documentation, and Construction & Evaluation. I have worked on different types of projects including, residential, multi-use and healthcare projects. I’ve been included in all the phases of a project, starting from schematic design, all the way to the construction administration phase. Most importantly, this internship gave me insight on how to effectively work in a group setting.
