Resume:

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am excited to be applying for the open IT position. I have always enjoyed the IT field. Years ago, I graduated from a cert program with a 4.0 in computer science. Although, I have been working in a different field most recently. Today I wish to get back into IT. I am currently enrolled at WGU to obtain my BS degree in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance. The school is great and online. Therefore, it will not get in the way of my job. I am currently CompTIA A+ certified (COMP001021666996) and working on my Network + certificate. I am extremely excited about my schooling and certainly excited to see the open position.

I am team focused, time management skills, computer skills, networking & software skills, and I am working on increasing my knowledge in IT every day. In my previous roles I have increased efficiency, built routines, and worked with a diverse team. I am very responsible and show up to work ready to go! I currently work with a team building a new web-based estimating platform (see resume for more information) part time. I perform some programming in Python, quality assurance for our development applications, and more. I would bring these skills and a great attitude to help learn the position and become an asset to your team.

In summary, I do enjoy computers and the IT industry. I have built computers and performed diagnostics prior to completing my repairs when needed. I understand that I need to show up to work every day along with a great attitude. I have a strong willingness to grow and learn new skills, the ability to work independently and with a great team. I know that I will become an asset to the team if given the opportunity.

I appreciate your time and consideration. I look forward to learning more about the position. Please see my resume for further qualifications.

Sincerely,

John W. O’Connor
