Work Experience

Contract Welder

January 2022 to Present

I have been running my own welding and fabrication truck. I have done anything from piping in facilities to pipe fence. Drilling rig repairs and new construction to simple equipment repairs. Times have gotten slow and I am unable to stay busy at this time and am looking for a steady job to make ends meet. Foreman

Diamond R Industries

January 2021 to January 2022

I am currently a welding foreman at Diamond R Industries. My role is to maintain project schedule as well as keep appropriate records and documentation for the duration of our projects. While we mainly focus on erecting storage tanks we are currently installing a turnkey facility and are responsible for all aspects of the operation of the above stated plant. This is including but not limited too: piping, tank erection, electrical routing and pump maintenance and installation. Tanco Engineering

January 2020 to December 2021

I hired in as a welder for Tanco. We have completed new construction and repair projects while I have worked at this company. I’m primarily responsible for for welding all components as described in the scope of work for each job. I have also been responsible with a pusher style role and help keep the job moving in the absence of the foreman.

HMT

January 2018 to December 2020

I was employed at HMT and originally hired in as a welder and quickly moved to pusher. Our crew did repair and maintenance in several Magellan facilities. I was responsible for helping the job stay moving along under the direct supervision of the foreman. Also was responsible for welding all tank components within the scope of work. Late in my time at HMT I was moved up to foreman for 2 projects. I was responsible for assigning tasks to my crew depending on each ones skill set, making daily reports to turn in to my superintendent, and order materials and equipment needed to complete the job. I was laid off due to lack of work and had to find another job to keep the income flowing.

Matrix Services

January 2013 to December 2018

I hired on at Matrix in 2013 as a vert welder. This was my first tank job and I was inexperienced. I was responsible for fitting and welding verts, fitting round seams, and also doing floor work. I got most of my certifications and skills from working at Matrix. Within the first year I certified on the goat, and had also moved up to doing all X-ray repairs on my crew. By mid 2016 I became a pusher and was responsible for doing all work previously described and also helping the job go smoothly under the direction of my foreman. I was offered the job at HMT in 2018 by a the foreman I went to work for. Horizon Energy

January 2010 to December 2013

My first welding job out of high school was building drilling rigs at Horizon Energy. I did everything from new construction and fabrication, to repair and replace in the field. Mainly structural welding, but there was occasional pipe work to be done for the mud pumping system to make a rig operate. I left horizon for more money job offer at Matrix.
