As a junior at Southern Methodist University, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Political Science, I am eager to apply my academic knowledge and practical experience to contribute to the dynamic sports coverage at Sports Central.

My passion for sports is evident through my involvement in the SMU Women's Lacrosse Team and my keen interest in various sports activities. I have developed a deep understanding of the importance of storytelling in sports journalism, which I believe is essential for capturing the essence of local teams and events. My participation in the Oxford University Summer Abroad Program in London further honed my global perspective on sports and media, making me well-equipped to cover events from Los Angeles to international competitions.

In my role as a Project Coordinator at the Southern Methodist University Provost's Office, I have demonstrated my ability to manage projects, focus on strategic planning, and maintain digital archives. These skills, combined with my experience as a Summer Intern at The New New Thing Public Relations, where I assisted with client relations and public relations strategies, have prepared me to excel in the fast-paced environment of sports production.

I am particularly excited about the opportunity to assist the sports production staff in putting together elements for Sports Central shows and segments, archiving past games, and creating highlights of daily televised sporting events. My attention to detail, organizational skills, and dedication to delivering high-quality content make me a strong candidate for this role.

I am enthusiastic about the prospect of joining the KCBS-TV team and contributing to the coverage of our local teams and schools. I am available to intern full-time for 10 weeks starting in June and am committed to working the required schedule, including weeknights and weekends.
