•Greet and check-in patients in for outpatient, inpatient and into the emergency room, also collect all personal and insurance information.

•Answered and expedited all incoming calls regarding insurance verifications, authorization and compliance.

•Verifies and collect patient liabilities with payers, calculates patient’s payment and request payment at the time registration. Apply patient’s payment in patient’s account and document in the ADT system.

•Collect and enters required data into the ADT system with emphasis on accuracy of demographic and financial information in order to ensure appropriate reimbursement for all outpatient, inpatient, and emergency room.

•Identifies all forms requiring patient/guarantor signature and obtain signatures, ensures all documents are scanned into the appropriate system.

•Knowledge of local state and federal funding to assist patient for financial assist.

•In the emergency department follow protocol for special cases, including but not limited to 5051, Sexual assault response team, domestic violence patients, child protective services, incarcerated patients worker compensation patients auto accidents, animal bite reporting, etc. as required.

•Complies with HIPPA, PHI and its implication, ABN, MSP, EMTALA, and other regulations which affect the registration process, also any documents in completion with the hospital’s information system for regulatory compliance and audit purposes for state and federal. Checks eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements for all inpatients and outpatients. Obtain accurate and prompt reimbursements, collect co- payments and other liabilities.
