Basrah, Iraq

2020 to present

Oversee comprehensive project management for field development and plans at Rumaila Oil Field

(ROO). Direct the front-end loading process (FELs), project budgeting (P&L), and the planning, execution, and completion of pipeline projects, ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards. Successfully managed project budgets of up to USD 750 million, implementing robust cost control measures and identifying optimization opportunities (led to a 10% reduction in overall expenses). Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, extensive Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management, to refine project workflows and elevate operational efficiency. Conduct rigorous risk assessments and deploy robust mitigation strategies. Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with key stakeholders, fostering a culture of effective communication and expeditiously addressing concerns. Accomplishments:

• Main Outfall Drain (MOD) (18 inches).

The project involves replacing the existing oil pipeline. Successfully managed the Main Outfall Drain (MOD) project in Rumaila, achieving key milestones ahead of schedule and within budget. Coordinated seamless collaboration among cross-functional teams, ensuring efficient project delivery and adherence to the highest quality standards. Implemented robust risk management strategies, mitigating potential obstacles and guaranteeing the project's resilience to unforeseen challenges. Managed and coordinated all EPC activities, providing leadership, direction, and operational control. The completion of the MOD project has not only enhanced the region's infrastructure but has also contributed significantly to environmental sustainability, showcasing the project's positive impact on the community and ecosystem.

• Source Water Pipeline 48 inches (120 km with over 1000 crossings). One of the significant developments in the ROO oil field is the upgrade of the source water pipeline used for water injection. The development plan for the Rumaila reservoirs requires an increasing quantity of water injection to maintain reservoir pressures at appropriate levels and improve recovery. Currently, I am managing the overall execution of the project, which involves engineering, procurement, construction, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover.

• Source Water (CPS1-5) Trunkline Replacement 24 inches (53 km with over 230 crossings). The project involves replacing the existing trunk lines. I was involved in completing, RFP package/EPC contract, which covers route validation, early placement of orders for Long Lead Items (LLIs), detailed engineering, procurement, construction, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning up to provisional acceptance.

• MOD Gathering Infrastructure 24 inches (70 km with over 285 crossings). The project involves new infrastructure upstream and downstream of the MOD crossing. This primarily includes the replacement of “West Qurna1 Flowlines and Trunklines,” routed via a new slot production manifold located North of MOD to DS05 Degassing Station. I was involved in completing the concept, RFP package/EPC contract, which covers residual engineering, procurement, construction, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover. • Integrity pipeline 48 inches (20 km with over 30 crossings). The project includes the replacement/extension of approximately 20 km pipeline to cover the upstream old pipeline section with frequent rupture history. Construction of Al Shuaiba bypass replacement/extension will reduce circa 300 mbd water injection loss (100 mbd equivalent) in the event of any rupture of old pipelines upstream of Al Shuaiba in future. Since 2020

(1.5 years) the failures rates have increased and up to 7 of total 13 ruptures have taken place in specific sections resulting in a failure rate of about 4 failures/year. VP BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (MENA)/SR. PROJECT MANAGER/INTERIM ENGINEERING MANAGER EXIDASP CONSULTANT
