US Department of State’s Africa Bureau Darfur

Assisted and advised Sector Commander and his staff to liaise between various Non-Governmental Organizations and African Union. Provided weekly situation reports to African Support Group in Washington D.C. and members of U.S. Embassy in Khartoum, Sudan. Worked under administrative control of the U.S. Dept of State's Africa Bureau and under operational control of the African Mission in Sudan (AMIS). Observed, monitored, reported, and negotiated in context of post-conflict peace process. Conducted vehicle-mounted patrols to monitor cease fire agreement and facilitated formal and informal meetings with local government representatives, rebel representatives, and private Sudanese citizens. Supported African Unions military diplomacy efforts to mediate between warring factions and robust participation in proactive patrolling with peace keeping troops and observers.

MVM Advisory Mission Iraq

As Project Manager for MVM advisory mission with a NATO mission in Iraq, directed advisory/mentor team to Iraqi Army force which assumed responsibility for force protection for NATO troops at Al- Rustimiyah Military Academy. Ensured complete and smooth transition of base security to Iraqi military and protection of NATO Forces under MNSTC-I Mission in Iraq. FEMA – Katrina Recovery

Supported US Federal Protective Service (FPS), Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) securing FEMA sites in the Gulf Coast region for post-Katrina hurricane assistance. Secured FEMA Administrative Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) after hours. Ensured safety of all FEMA employees and FEMA Contractors while on site. Shift Supervisor for FEMA sites within a four-state region.
