We currently own and manage several rental homes in Auburn and Newcastle, California and have spent our last thirty years traveling the world and climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, hiking Patagonia, New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Canada, Mexico, Norway, Morocco, Viet Nam, Cambodia, Central America, Yosemite and the Ansel Adams Wilderness and many other locations and relaxing every January in Maui with family.

1. Director of Student Activities – Responsible for organizing, directing, approving and overseeing all student activities from Student Council, Student Recreation to Interschool Relations

2. English/German teacher, Head Coach of Track and Field, Cross - Country, Guidance Counselor, Head Coach of Academic Decathlon Team which won three consecutive California State Championships, 1990-1992, in Small School Division

B. California State Park Ranger, Permanent/Intermittent, Interpretive Ranger, in Sierra District around Lake Tahoe, Ca., 1973 t0 2001

1. Interpretive Ranger in Charge of creating, overseeing and teaching interpretive techniques to other rangers and park aides to give campfire programs, Junior Ranger Programs, Hikes, Mansion Tours, working in gift shop and any help needed for personnel to be able to interpret the park and its resources to the public.

For Two summers in the early 1900’s, I was given an undercover data gather assignment at Emerald Bay State Park. I was told to create my own 40 hours weeks and to tell no one when I was on duty. I was ordered to write a log of any suspicious and illegal activities at the park. I was given a boat and had the additional responsibility of doing boat patrol from a very small outboard boat on all boat travel on Emerald Bay. The data I gather lead to a complete reform in how Emerald Bay State Park was organized and run.

2. Teaching proper ranger behavior and style through my exampling to other rangers and park aides.

C. English Teacher and Cross-Country Coach at Cordova High School in Rancho Cordova, Ca, 1963-65

1) Help direct the setup of the Sophomore English curriculum and how to teach it.

2) Began the Cross-Country program as Head Coach and won the Sac-Joaquin Section Cross Country Championship our first year.

D. Negotiator for Associated Teachers of Placer (ATP) 1987 – 1993

1) Negotiated pay and working conditions for Teachers in Placer Union High School District

2) Dealt with all the conflicts between teachers, coaches and administrators, the Board and the Administration at five high schools

E. 1957 – 1963 Clerk for Criminal Identification and Investigation (CI and I) for Justice Department, State of California I Sacramento while working my way through Sacramento State College

1. I pulled and sent records to local police and sheriff’s department throughout the State of California as requested.

2. Worked to improve the efficiency of the process

F. Retired June 2, 2001 to present from all employment except SARSAS, the Non-Profit

I am ready for another career, hoping to define the next period of human life after retirement.
