Perform administrative duties, serves and assists with special events and task assignments, and assists GPO police with safe entry and exit of main lobby during emergencies.

Responsible for the issuing of weapons and proper equipment needed daily, along with attendance to daily Roll Call Briefing meetings ran by GPO Police.

In charge of keeping officers informed on current post updates, barring notices, SOP/Emergency Evacuation, Post Order Procedures, and daily activity of assigned post.

Make preliminary checks of violations, detect illegal drugs, and prepare reports of incidents and security conditions.

Ensure that collection of security forms from new employees meet requirements for continued employment in sensitive positions.

Assumes the position of acting Project Manager when necessary.

Armed Special Police Office [Lead] November 2007 to July 2010

Providing security at GPO Bldg. IV Passport shipping and receiving dock.

Primarily responsible for protecting Federal Property from hazards such as sabotage, espionage,

trespassing, theft, fire, and accidental or willful damage and destruction.

Controlling all persons (GPO employees, contractors, etc.) entering/exiting through loading dock area.

Check and inspect exterior and interior to detect suspicious activity, illegal firearms, illicit drugs, narcotics, alcohol and contraband.

Trained in use of screening equipment Metor 200 Archway Metal Detector, Garrett Handheld Magnetometor and Motorola HT 100 Hand Held Radio.

Responsible for securing the entire loading dock/Warehouse area.
