Supported the complete development cycle and validation of Firewire and Gigabit Ethernet devices and integrated them into complete customer solutions. Played a key role in launching company’s first PCI Express product – Gigabit Ethernet controller, penetrating a difficult market and winning the $15m LG business. Ensured Firewire product design met protocols and signal quality requirements. Had a major contribution to the implementation of unique and innovative power management features and enhanced performance. As a result the product gained a significant market share in the desktop and mobile industries and sales steady increased to $70m peak volume. Collaborated with test equipment vendors, advised enhancements to the signal quality test tools and lead the implementation at the vendor’s site. Cleared chip design flaws through the use of Firewire 1394 analyzers and PCI Express protocol analysis tools which significantly speeded up validation process. Partnered with customers to perfect board electrical and physical design to meet Ethernet and Firewire specifications, improve overall signal quality, resolve EMI issues and enhance performance.
