•As a member of the hardware optical engineering team, the responsibilities for building all Palomar/Mako Shark rack test stations and calibration stations before ship to CM, including schematic entry, and debugging, failure analysis.

• Worked closely with SW Team during rack stations, validated all interfaces are set up properly in boot, accessing the console to verify all GPIOs work as intended.

• Knowledge in using Digital and RF instruments such Spectrum analyzer, Network.

Analyzer, Signal generator, and oscilloscopes to perform testing modules.

• Familiar with Linux OS and commands which facilitates the OCS bring up activities.

• Coordinated debugged activities with vendors and SW team, analyzed and tracked down the root causes, performed tests thoroughly to close the bug.

•Worked with a product compliant team in calibrating and testing and debugging compliant issues.

•Run re-liabilities and collecting data for All collaborators which fully support C.M

•Familiar with and responsible for maintenance of Fujikura Fusion Splicer (such as model 60R,70R+,90R for multiple mode and FSM-100P for single mode )

• Soldering and cabling for all power cable of Palomar/MS rack test stations and OCS needed.

• Enable relocated work (field trip) when C.M needs help for rack test stations calibration.

• Enable to work at multiple tasks such as EE-lab/Thermal-Lab/Chamber Lab/Chiller Lab.

• Inspected and tested all optical equipment incoming by using JDSU Fiber Optic switch and Thorlabs Coupled SLD Source (1310 nm) before mounting it to the test rack.

• Performing testing Palomar/Mako Shark OCS (Optical Circuit Switch ) after the rack test station was completely calibrated.

•Using a high-power microscope to inspect and clean all LC/APC Pigtail before connecting the OCS unit to the rack test station.

•Perform optical system test on Stratalight OTS-4000 40G DPSK optical transponder and mux ponder line cards at different temps (25C, -5C, and 55C) including line Rx and Tx Optical bandwidth, Client Check, OSNRBER loss.

•Performing the product reliability test and product development evaluations. Support design engineers and quality engineers by performing FA (inspecting, testing, and debugging SFP,SFP+,XENPAK to component level )

•Perform optical fiber splicing and routing after initial (700 level test)

•Perform Burn-in test at high temp (55C) and assisting test engineer to troubleshoot optical loss and electrical failure(800 level test)

•Perform software load for different customers’ configuration after each functional test such as CISCO, CIENA, ATT, Nokia-Siemens Network.

•Assembly, soldering 100G modules( all optical components such as EDFA,IPM,tunable laser, Mux, Demux, photo receiver, Modulator and Demodulator, and driver amplifier)

•Performing RMA Rework for MI4000/MI5000 modules products.

•Performing reliability analysis, product qualification and data analysis for NPI to meet customer specifications ( CAS and MSA ) at the highest standards.

•Perform different tasks including testing at modules functional test and boards level, assembly Rework including fiber routing and splicing, soldering, wiring, Test OTS4000 products using terminal server, Optical Spectrum Analyzer, Hp Power meter, Power amplifier (EDFA) meter, power supplier, and multi meter.

Experience with RF and optical test instruments such as VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Arbitrary waveform Generator, Power Meter, Omni-BER Analyzer, Light-wave Meter, ASA, DCA, Wavelength Meter.

Proficient troubleshooting skill with RF and digital PCBA down to component level.
