Eight (8) years as Senior Liaisonman / Drilling Foreman - Drilling & Workover in the Arabian Gulf, drilling stand-alone (MLC) deep exploration wells, and batch-drilling in-field oil wells using mud-cap techniques and ESP-screen completions. Supply-chain based on SAP. Chevron Thailand / Chevron Netherlands / Chevron Angola 2006 – 2012 Chevron acquired Unocal in late 2005. Senior Drill Site Manager seconded to Netherlands as for horizontal gas-well project, completed with expandable-liner technology. Sales & Marketing Manager for USA and Latin America, developing new overseas markets and selling risk-management services within major upstream oil companies and service providers. P.T. Daya Turranga (Jakarta, Indonesia) 2002 – 2003 Drilling Superintendent for ODE Rig 41, a 3000-hp land rig working in Aceh war-zone during GAM- insurgency. Drilled large-bore HPHT gas wells in the Arun gas field, using under-balanced drilling techniques. Managed a 180-man onsite crew providing all drilling support and logistics, including the rig, three camps and a rolling-stock fleet of 12 trucks and 4 cranes. Moved camps and rig. Nabors Offshore Corporation (New Orleans) 2000 – 2002 Engineering Supervisor leading a 12-man team planning and organizing rig moves for fleet of self- erecting platform drilling/workover rigs. Project manager for refurbishing and upgrading two platform rigs, completed on- time and under-budget. Developed and implemented quality- assurance program for all offshore welding. Developed and implemented welding quality-assurance program. Managed a 95-man staff of welders and fitters, during multiple concurrent off-site projects. Prepared all layout design and obtained all environmental permits for constructing a large-scale hot-dip galvanizing plant. Ensco International (Venezuela and Lafayette) 1993 – 1999 Drilling Superintendent, Project Manager and Chief Engineer. Hired as Chief Engineer / Project Manager for Lake Maracaibo 12-rig fleet. Supervised construction and commissioning on four new- build barge rigs. Refurbished and upgraded two barge rigs in Venezuelan shipyard. Designed and built a 25,000 sq ft concrete office building, 12-acre controlled-access pipe yard, 20,000 sq ft equipment storage building, 16-man self-contained living quarters and 10,000 sq ft dock facility. Wrote major in-house investment intelligence report on PDVSA and the Venezuelan oil industry in 1996 for Ensco Board of Directors. Promoted to Drilling Superintendent (Rig Manager) for three API platform rigs. Seconded to ExxonMobil as liaison engineer for Hoover spar in 5,000 ft of water.
