Prior to all my technical background I worked the auto retail market in sales, and service order writer. I also worked in the grocery retail business for Safeway at 16 years old. I started as a stocker, frozen food, meat rapper, cashier, produce dept assistant to produce manager and finally the Dallas District Produce Assistant helping setup new stores and troubleshooting various stores with poor produce performance. My job was to work two weeks even a month if necessary to review the dept procedures then make recommendations to improve the performance increase sales with less produce loss. I accomplished all this in 5 years until I went into the Marine Corps in 1972. I stared with Safeway in Oklahoma then Lubbock, TX to Dallas, TX district where I excelled by having the top produce dept in the Dallas District.

Recent 4 plus years after retiring from the communications field I have experience with storage facility management. My last position as property manager, the property was 64% occupied and I increased it to over 87% in 4 months. It was accomplished by providing customer service with integrity. Other duties included renting U-Haul trucks and always meeting goals. Also, last few years working for Home Depot in Brentwood and Franklin, TN as a specialist in the flooring department, Electrical, Plumbing and Paint Department. I earned several customer services awards.
