Texas Historical Commission June 2021 to August 2021, Oral History Archives Project at Varner-Hogg Plantation and State Historic Site

-Preservation Scholar Intern gaining professional experience in historic preservation, historic sites, community development programs, heritage tourism, and communications.

-Dedicated to the purpose of expanding the Texas cultural historical narrative as compared to previous plantation history that has been dominated by its white owners. Focused on incorporating Hispanic and Black voices connected to the Varner-Hogg historic community.

-Developed and improved professional skills through converting oral history interviews to an oral history database. Solidified transcription, analysis, documentation, and research skills.

-Developed expertise with community relationships and the continuation of a difficult historical relationship in the form of public history.

Research Assistant, July 2023 to January 2024, KNON 89.3 FM

-Research Assistant to the Dallas radio station KNON in its mission to support underrepresented communities in Dallas.

-Analyzed and compiled relevant information about the historical political action and community development organization called the Texas Organizing Project.

-Created documents of historical research data for use in a podcast.

-Recorded part of a podcast to be aired.
