Hello! My name is Cody Coon, I'm 19 years old with a strong will to work. Living in and around Bakersfield my entire life basically made me immune to the heat. Sweating and working while using my brain to figure things out is a strong suit of mine. Growing as a human being is one of the best things you can do. I believe that in order for anyone to grow they need to experience failure and embrace it. One goal of mine is to start a business that can support my entire family. This is isn’t an easy task because my family is huge! However, please allow me to work for you so that I can plant a seed and turn my plans into fruition.

Work Experience
Firework crew
Zambelli Fireworks - Bakersfield, CA
June 2022 to Present
My duties at Zambelli Fireworks include heavy lifting, tedious tasks, long hauling a 24’ box truck, maneuvering a 24’ box truck to the back of a semi trailer, clear communication with co-workers, following instructions, working 8-12 hour shifts, leading others, handling fireworks, and learning from my supervisors. My biggest accomplishment working there was on New Year’s Eve 2022 in Marina Del Rey. Picture this, a 24’ box truck full of heavy firework racks and equipment backed into a narrow path. The path stretched 300’ out into the ocean creating a peninsula. Myself, along with 3 co-workers used small hand pulled carts to create and disassemble our show. Mother Nature was not pleased with us I assume because it was pouring rain sideways with 30mph winds. During the chaos we had to seal the firework cannons with plastic sheeting to ensure a good show. This was almost as hard as setting up because how windy it was. We shot two firework shows that night, one at 5:30 pm and another at 12:00 am. Finally, at 6:00 am after putting it all back into the truck we get out of there soaking wet and sore on New Year’s Day. January 1st 2023.

This wasn't a job but it was valid work experience. While attending UEI we studied electrical theory, OHMs Law, kirshoffs law, how to bend cut and thread conduit, simple residential wiring, commercial wiring, motor controls, and 2020 NEC Codes (since 2023 was not in full issue). A significant accomplishment from UEI was that I graduated with good grades and never failed a course. Education
