Project Description: As part of the Organization restructuring of GE Capital HQ region, GE Capital is embarking on the initiative to establish a single standardized platform for its FP&A Reporting on Hyperion. This mainly involves combining of 3 cubes (GECFREC2, GECVOL, and GECFCF2) into one single cube GECCHQ. The Closing model at GECCHQ utilizes Data Staging, Appworx, and Hyperion suite of products. Essbase is used for keeping outlines and querying engine. Data Staging is used as intermediate storage for Oracle GL actual data and Approx. is used for automating the processes.

Project Description: GE Capital treasury business is subsidiary of GE Electronics and directly financing the capital core business GECA, EFS, CAS and EMEA business. Treasury business has 3 cubes. Closing Cube (ASO), SEC (BSO) planning cube maintained by the controllership team and Hierarchies are maintained in DRM and are processed in staging for Dimension Build process. Data comes from 2 GL’s on a monthly basis which is processed in staging and is fed to Essbase server as a flat file. Data also comes from MARS staging which loads on a quarterly basis. Validation process has been setup in staging to validate the GL and MARS data

Roles and Responsibilities:
