Letter of Introduction

To whom it may concern

Dear sir/mam

Please allow me to introduce myself I am John Loren Wright I am a retired USAF Master Sergeant.

I started creating this letter and it looked like a list of accomplishments, but that wasn’t what I wanted to say so you will find it more letter of attachment.

I have a BA in social psychology from Park University MO. At this time I am working on a 2nd BA degree in Visual Arts at the University of Colorado at Colorado Spring. I applied for an opening within your organization. Each of which I have experience in. they are in that attachment or my resume.

Why do I want to work for you, I feel I would be working for the future. I firmly believe our education and motivation of the youth is the only way to guarantee a just and honest future. Ab Lincoln ones said “the only way to have a successful future is to create it”. No matter what job you’re doing within a school you will be influencing the students. Every action has its reaction working within the university I will have an influence on my fellow students.

After retiring from the USAF, I worked as a manager for a number of retail companies. I also returned to college and received in June 2017 my BS in Social Psychology from Park University. Add years of practical experience counseling airman, soldiers, marines and sailors while on joint military assignments. I learned to lessen, individuals normally will solve their own problems if you lessen and only ask questions when they need a direction for their mind to go in.

Even though I have my BA in social psychology my real love has always been in the field of visual arts, with my first art class at the fine arts museum in Portland OR at age 11. After high school I attended over 50 hours of art and photography courses at Portland Community College. I spent 24 years performing the duties of a photography imagery analyst, which included manipulating digital photographs.

I addition at Peace AFB I managed A photography Hobby shop, which include mixing the chemistry, teaching the military personel how to use there cameras. I also worked for Portrait Corporation of America managing one of their portrait studios, as well as the primary photographer. After retiring from the USAF I managed a ritz camera retail store, do to being one of the most successful stores in the company we were one of the last stores closed when the miss management of the corporation caused its demise. Throughout the years in the Air Force I still continued drawing and painting even through many times given as gifts not sold for monetary gain. Now I have gone full circle and have returned to my roots being on the dean's list for the Fall 2018 semester in my Visual Arts Program at UCCS.

I am john Loren Wright Born in Portland Oregon, 13 Jun 1957. Graduated from Tigard High school Tigard Or. 6 June 1976. I served a Mormon Mission teaching the principles of the church 1977 -1979. Entered the United States Air Force (USAF) 14 June 1981 and retired from it 28 February 2006 worked first as a Law Enforcement Specialist for the first 3.5 years and ending as an Imagery Intelligence Analyst.

During the time in the Air Force I acquired an Associate’s Degree in Communications Applications Technology from the Community College of the USAF. After my retirement I have diligently studded to acquire a Social Psychology from Park University which will be awarded in June 2016.

My military background includes functioning as an instructor of military personal at the 91st Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, 480th Intelligence group, US Central Command Headquarters (CENTCOM HQ), and at National Geospatial Intelligence Agency College (NGC). I acquired the alternate Instructors certificate from NGC. All of the courses I taught were for adult student ages 17-35. At both 480th and CENTCOM HQ I developed the training programs.

While assigned to Pease AFB in New Hampshire I managed a photography hobby shop teaching photography methods both darkroom. additionally I taught nature, land and cityscapes, still life, and portrait techniques to the Air force and Navy personal in the area.

I have worked after retirement for Boeing Aircraft, MOJA Inc, Ritz Camera, Portrait Corporation of America, Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), Towne Park Inc, and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) on Ft Carson. In the case of both MWR and AAFES I worked as a Custodian, as a night shift team lead for AAFES. When I worked for AAFES at Ft Belvoir in VA I ran a multi-ethnic team of 4-6 custodians, my training and experience as a non-commotional officer (NCO) shows I have the experience in managing such a team.

As a NCO I was taught through the USAF NCO academy training programs pertaining to counsel individuals. Through the years in the military have counseling young adults under different conditions from sexual harassment, suicide, to budgetary difficulties, and others. This is why I went after a degree in psychology.
