Principle Power Engineer at Oracle - *************@*****.*** I am a Principal Power Engineer at Oracle. Jim has been my primary technician for the duration of my tenure, starting in 2004. Throughout the years, Jim has been a critical part of the technical success of the Sparc Enterprise systems. Jim is intelligent and always willing to learn. This has resulted in him picking up numerous new skills throughout the years, which have been invaluable to the company. Jim is the only technician that can work through a lengthy Power DVT plan with minimal supervision. He has a strong work ethic, and will put in the effort in order to get consistent and repeatable results. He is meticulous with his testing, always double-checking to ensure that his scope probes are connected properly, his oscilloscope has the correct settings, providing strain relief to prevent wires from being ripped off during testing, ensuring there is appropriate airflow for tests, etc. His soldering skills are by far the best among his peers, allowing him to get reliable solder joints in areas barely visible to the naked eye. He also has a great aptitude for mechanical engineering, and can find general weaknesses and potential stress issues. I have a high level of confidence in Jim's abilities, and am sure he will be an asset to whatever company he ends up at.
