• Lead, manage and support projects from inception to completion; coordinating and delegating duties, establishing timetables, and maintaining Injection Mold Standards

• Conceptualize and design new products; generating 3D CAD models of parts and/or assemblies, creating concept drawings, and conducting part cost estimates

• Process CAD models for physical prototypes (utilizing FDM technology from Stratasys)

• Design tooling (injection molds, blow molds, vacuum form tools, and processing and handling equipment)

• Generate 3D CAD Assembly drawings, create 2D working/fabrication drawings for production, component recommendation and selection along with creation of Bill of Materials

• Provide daily engineering support to tool room and production molding

• Evaluate mold designs for errors and enhancement, revising designs as needed. Assist with troubleshooting for mechanical and machining errors

• Coordinate file translations and transfers; update, maintain and manage design files

• Develop strategic supplier relationships. Work and coordinate with domestic and global vendors to bring projects from concept to reality. Review and approve outsourced project designs

• Create image drawings / illustrations for patent files, product instruction and assembly manuals/sheets
