09/2023-10/2023: U.S. Nursing Traveling/Contract, Kaiser Permanente, Carson Ambulatory Surgery Unit, Gardena, CA

In my position as a Sterile Processing Tech-11, my responsibilities were to filling in for the strike in Southern California. I worked in the SPD making sure that all instrument were clean, inspected, assembly, process properly and ready for any cases that was needed in the morning. I was also responsible for running the tests on the washer, cart washer, autoclaves and the sterrads machine.

In the position as a Central Sterile Tech-ll. I had to learn and train in all areas of sterile processing which include knowing how to help direct the work flow of SPD Technicians on the designated shift in order to meet the needs of the SPD.

Responsibilities:

Processes instrument and equipment.

Restock and decontaminates sterilization equipment and instruments.

Collects dirty equipment and instruments.

Sorts, loads, unload and decontaminate equipment and instruments according to procedures.

Working in the Outpatient Surgery Center in the position as a Central SterileTech-11, I worked closely with a small team to ensure that all surgical and medical equipment in the medical facilities was sterile and safe for patient use. Responsibilities:

I oversaw the day to day operations of the Surgical Processing and Distribution Department (SPD).
