12/17-06/23 Assurant, Miami, FL, Senior Business Unit Systems Analyst, IT Applications-Corporate Services The Sr. Business Unit Analyst role provides functional, agile, and technical support on various financial applications to our business partners. Responsibilities include supporting users over multiple sites with issues specifically related to Account Receivables or Payables management of billing and invoice processes housed in source policy management systems, process improvements and financial reporting. The analyst also performs other aspects of systems support including routine maintenance, monthly/quarterly/yearly-end cycle interface validations, serve as security administrator, identify root cause analysis, produce manual/automated solutions, escalation, and documentation of remediation efforts. As an active agile scrum team member, I also serve as a proxy to the TPO (Technical Pr oduct owner), QA (Quality Assurant Testers) and SM (scrum mater) leads. As an IT agile scrum team member or scrum master, we support the business by documenting issues/process-flows, grooming business requirements, organizing business priorities, testing system changes, and executing upon needed enhancements administered through the ADO backlog inventory web application.

• Known amongst Assurant peers for detailed efforts put into gathering business cases, coordinating follow-up discussions, collaborating with business/system counterparts, testing/validating system improvements, and executing on time.

• Often a business analysis will serve as a project manager or team scrum master to assist in leading project dev team members with client, business or product installations. This applies to any impact on financial systems and reporting of that data. Some examples include finance conversion to Oracle ERP cloud-based system, ASCEND IonX property preservation fee income installation, Agilstar Platform Replacement project for REO product line, any new product installation includes testing/configuration/deployment steps, supporting the existing GL mapping processes, Client driven conversions/mergers, etc.

• Supporting the day-to-day production support incidents is a rotated task for assisting the business users (accountants & managers). This includes researching production support tickets, working through timely resolutions while adhering to Assurant system support & financial guidelines. This support applies to the full end-to-end spectrum of the accounting workflows (from the commencement of policy administration source systems, into AR/AP and ending in GL). This requires a vast knowledge of the structure in place for the many lines of businesses that roll up under the Assurant umbrella.

• Proactively involved in spearheading special training sessions for finance application users, continued refresher courses and walk- through of high-level system workflows with stakeholders as needed by the many different business teams.
