Bit Runner (Dull Grading) – Smith Bits (Field Experience)

HPHT Wells: +/-300 - 350 F, +/-10k - 20k psi wellhead shut-in pressure wells in Gulf of Suez. Many of our drilling tools MWD&LWD are available with pressure ratings up to 30,000 psi and temperature rating up to 347 F.

ERD Well in Gulf of Suez/Egypt: drilling one highly deviated well about 18,000 ft MD (7000 ft TVD) ended with horizontal section 4000 ft, the challenges were torque & drag and hole cleaning.

Deepwater: I worked 2 months on Tender rig (ship) with GUPCO-AMOCO, and visited Semi-submersible rig one month with BP with more than 650’ water depth.

H2S: Most of wells drilled had H2S in GUPCO offshore, in QP onshore Dukhan, and Saudi Aramco gas fields always has.
