Job Profile Summary

Responsible for assisting university employees, students, and faculty with a wide variety of questions and problems about software, hardware, desktop, network, and systems supported by a school, college, or VP unit. Monitors reported problems to identify trends and recommends solutions. Assists less experienced help desk workers and may oversee student workers. Administers issue-tracking software to provide documentation and may utilize systems management software to troubleshoot and maintain computer systems. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work performed on concurrent multiple projects under pressure of rigid deadlines and/or time limitations. May require occasional extended work hours.

Assist the IT Manager in other duties as assigned.

Assist with the implementation and monitoring of cyber security policies from the University of Texas Information Security Office and remediation of quarantined devices and rouge devices found on UTMSI computer network.
