Test Engineer II – Requirements Analyst - Enterprise Testing, Information Technology - Oct 2015 to February 2016

Served dual roles as Wireless Test Requirement Analyst (TRA) and Wireline Test Engineer. Review project requirements to define accurate scope and create project test plans. Brainstorm and develop comprehensive test cases for Quality Assurance purposes.

Draft and deliver detailed hand-off document for Test Engineer that includes all pertinent information for project execution, including scope, flow chart, data, timelines, billing details, and contacts.

Collaborate with UAT testing team to track and provide updates on assigned scenarios.

Test Lead - coordinated the planning and execution of network projects by working with Test Analyst for each project to meet task deadlines. Managed large projects with multiple shifts of local teams, as well as offshore India resources. Assigned resources to project tasks, scheduling work hours and shifts to maximize productivity. Trained and mentored staff. Supported and assisted with testing, filling in as tester when needed. Collaborated with Product Managers to ensure testing was completed to specifications. Devised and implemented test plans from functional requirements and design documents for wireless applications and billing systems.

Created base regression test cases for Convergys reseller testing, working with Finance group to ensure proper delivery of reconciliation details to reseller’s testing organization.

Verified all testing met Sarbanes-Oxley quality checkpoints.

STIC Coordinator - reviewed handset-related test cases to make sure correct devices were used for project testing. Identified and removed any overlaps in project/device testing. Served as network provisioning contact for ad-hoc testing and assigned work out. Reassigned STIC resources in blocked projects to ensure resource maintained productivity.

Device Testing

Worked with a co-worker to ensure a device could be provisioned, create usage and be billed thru the new Amdocs billing system.

Executed many product device testing, gaining knowledge on which products had test systems and which could only be done in production.

Extensive knowledge on QXDM, QPST and ADB to set up handsets for testing.

Planned and executed device testing for 4G authentication to Xohm (renamed to Clearwire), worked with Amdocs Testing organization, and executed front-end testing for Xohm Portal and CRM. The network path was a special setup to validate on the AAA for provisioning and network usage.

Software Engineer IV – United Telecommunications, Information Technology, May 1990 to June 2003

As Technical Lead, ensured all deliverables were completed and delivered on time. Participated in peer reviews for project designs and code. Reviewed unit tests results with the business to ensure all planned code changes were implemented. Tracked any defects found and ensured either a code correction was completed or an explanation was provided when code changes were not needed. Programmed in COBOL, SQL and DB2 and executed using OS JCL.

While working Equal Access, I lead a project and coded DB2 table creation for exchanges to make updates to the Interexchange code.

Worked many billing projects that created revenue for the company while making the code more efficient and usable for the next needed update.

Updated the bill print process to be more efficient, saving the company millions of dollars in expenses.
