Full time caregiver 7pm to 7am shift . Daily task sheet to be completed during and all finished by end of shift. This is assisted living facility and has a memory care unit as well. My job as caregiver was to do rounds and check on residents thru out the night. Make sure no body fell off bed or recliner. Check to see if they our wet and need be changed. Remove any wet sheets and clothes an place in laundry basket. Make sure to change them and put dry clothes and sheets back on bed. Make them feel comfortable in bed and goodnight. Night shifts assist those that need to go to toilet and put safely back in bed or chair which ever residents perfers. Night shift gets them changed and dressed for the day. Make sure all trash and areas our cleaned and laundry and any showers assigned completed before you put them bed. I enjoyed my job and even work Christmas eve and Christmas day .To make sure residents had a good Christmas . 24 hours shift but I am very dedicated to my job. My job was cut short due to unexplained head concusion and I was in a mini coma and was late for my shift at 7pm. I made a mistake and not something I planned. My phone was only on vibrate and I passed out not knowing I did. So no alarms was set. I woke up at 11 pm and called said I'm sorry I be there in 30 mins. I went to work at 12 am but at 230am I recieved a text that I was a no call no show and turn in badge and keys and clock out. I made a mistake that was medical unexpected and if I was awake and knew I would called to say I'm going be late or need to take off I would of. So since I was in my 90 day period I was let go but not listed as fired. I hope this does not hurt my chances finding a good company to start back working! Well that day the boss in charge saw I was doing stuff because I was told by employee I was shadow to do this. So after being there few hours I was asked to go to office and told I would not be a good fit and I was never given opportunity to show them. So I have no hard feelings for company but felt boss was not aware I didn't take the week orientation class nor was told exactly what to do as far as only to shadow and watch.
