Dear Sir or Madam:
It is with the greatest respect that I submit my application for the position of Project Manager. I am confident my extensive experience working in the field of education and my leadership skills will meet the qualifications for which you are searching.
I feel that my 17 years of experience as a school administrator and 20 years of management experience will allow me to be an asset to this role and to the team. In my previous positions I intentionally built and maintained safe and trusting relationships with students, parents, staff members, and community members. I believe everything begins and ends with relationships. My experience and positive mindset in working with all stakeholders to create a collaborative and equitable environment will make for a positive asset as a Manager.
As highlighted in my resume, I have experience in and excel at hiring, supervising, and performance management. I am proactive in determining appropriate needs for a system, evaluating actions, identifying strengths and growth opportunities and communicating responses clearly and effectively with team members. This allows me to lead a team focused on goals and prioritized tasks. This process requires strong and effective organization and communication skills, qualities I practice daily.
Additionally, I have experience as the equity coordinator for an entire school district. In this role it was imperative I know policies and laws and be able to rewrite policies as warranted. It was also critical to insure proper documentation according to policy and procedure. Not only did this role allow me to gain valuable experience in policy evaluation and implementation, it also gave me a deep understanding of providing equitable services to all.
In my role as a public school administrator, I handled most of the human resource responsibilities. This included hiring, conflict management, scheduling, budgeting, benefits, approving payroll, etc. I am prepared to use my knowledge and seek answers when I need them. I have learned new computer programs with every position I have had, and I have no issues with learning new skills.
I look forward to an opportunity to share further how I could enrich and lead as your next Project Manager. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Mark Albertsen
