Geophysicist with more than 30 years of experience in seismic interpretation and structural modeling. Work on Exploration and Field Development projects in several areas of Latin America and Middle East. In Terciary and Jurasic Enviroments; Quartz and Carbonate reservoirs. Objective: To update reservoir model with living model concepts.

Activities: Developed and used a seismic reservoir model to define prospective areas for new well locations in the Chicontepec Area. Worked in the non-conventional wellbore design team using FEL techniques.

Consultant for “Proyecto Cretáceo Lago, PDVSA-Intevep.” Venezuela.

Objective: To create a static model for pilot area to quantify oil reserves and future exploratory well locations.

Activities: Created a structural model for Maracaibo Lake Pilot Area, covering Blocks 1, V, Vii, Lago Mar, Lago Medio and Centro Lago areas. Supervise and validate the interpretation team. Built a velocity model for time-depth conversion for Cretaceous seismic interpretation horizons. Performed elastic inversion to guide the petrophysical properties and as a base for the geomechanic model.

2008 - 2007

Consultant for Seismic interpretation; Samaan Project, Repsol Trinidad. Trinidad and Tobago

Objective: To generate a static model to quantify the reserves of a field and, if none found, to identify new prospective areas for exploration.

Activities: Revised and validated time-depth curves for Samaan Field (Offshore Trinidad); checked geological markers and completed the seismic interpretation for four prospective sands; assembled structural framework in seismic time.

Consultant for Seismic Integration Project of four marine blocks of Repsol Trinidad’s Concession

Objective: To identify new plays using seismic integration and to adjust the seismic interpretation of lithologic sequences on Tertiary. To establish a velocity range for time-depth conversion; to extract and normalize seismic attributes for the blocks under concession.

Activities: Revised the seismic information loaded on the database and normalized the dynamic amplitude range on each 3D seismic data; extracted and normalized the seismic attributes and integrated them in order to draw maps and identify anomalies; calculated synthetic seismograms for most of the wells within the area in order to establish a velocity range to convert time to depth.

Consultant for Lithologic Sequences Regional Integration for the Tertiary Offshore Area. Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche. PEMEX, Mexico

Objective: To integrate and adjust the seismic interpretation of lithologic sequences of Tertiary in the basin; to extract and normalize the seismic attributes of and analyze opportunity plays.

Activities: Collected seismic interpretation information and normalized the dynamic range of each seismic cube; adjusted seismic interpretation on boundary areas and extracted and normalized the seismic attributes of each lithologic sequence.

Onsite support for Centro Dedicado para la Generación de Localizaciones. CDGL Villahermosa, Tabasco

Objective: To identify new exploration opportunities and create a detailed configuration of the top and base of Mesozoic salt domes.

Activities: Loaded and validated seismic data for “Proyecto de identificación de Cuencas Salinas”. 3D Seismic data incorporation, homologation and normalization in GeoFrame.

2006 - 2005

Onsite support at Activo Regional de Exploración Región Sur. Villahermosa, Tabasco

Objective: To create a robust database project to find new prospective areas.

Activities: Project administration; assisted client in the use of the system tools. Integration of the seismic interpretation of Mesozoic age for Mexican South Basin and depth conversion. Normalization of interpreted data and nomenclature homologation. Transferred data from Openworks to Geoframe and Petrel.
