EXPERIENCE

START VOLUNTEER – SEP. 2014 – MAR. 2016

I assisted the staff to administer and monitor the children during activities, served as a homework helper, and when the program was facing a possible termination I wrote a speech to deliver to the city council to prevent it from happening.

Student volunteer – SEP. 2014 – MAR. 2016

While simultaneously volunteering my time at START I volunteered with my soccer coach who was a teacher at the school, Mr. Gardner.; by correcting papers, doing garden work, tutoring students, and preparing art projects.

Fedex package handler June 21, 2020 - to current day.

I am currently a package handler at fedex ground. My job is to grab my designated packages from the conveyor belt, scan them, and safely organize them into my designated delivery trucks. Working at fedex taught me that it's okay to ask for help and that it doesn't make me less independent or weak.

EDUCATION

In May of 2020 I graduated from Horizon Charter Schools,meaning i have my highschool diploma. During my freshman year of highschool i played soccer with my long time soccer team the Rosemont Misfits, and during my sophomore and junior years of highschool i took a pottery class. In elementary school I was a long time member of Golden Empire’s “Garden Club”, I was elected student council president in sixth grade by a vote of my peers, I received the Stellar Student Award from my school district in February of 2014, and won first place the National Geographic Geography Bee held at Golden Empire, during the same year.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE OR LEADERSHIP

I have spent many hours doing unpaid volunteer work, which showed me that I have the skills, motivation, and work ethic to do whatever task is placed before me. I am great with people, can communicate extremely, well with others, and love to make people smile. Where some people say an apple a day keeps the doctor away. I believe a smile a day keeps the blues away.
