Amazon DSP Delivery Associate Interview Preparation

You scheduled your onsite hiring interview and now you’re wondering what to expect. We can help! Find information on what to bring, wear and know before heading into your delivery associate (driver) interview. What To Bring:

• Your resume if available and/or requested by the DSP that you are interviewing with.

• Please bring a valid Driver’s License for the state in which you are applying in. In order for your Driver’s License to be valid it must not be expired, suspended or revoked. A Passport, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, Provisional License, or Identification Card will NOT be accepted as a valid Driver’s License. A CDL will be accepted but is not required. We have these restrictions in place because the role you are interviewing for will require driving a company vehicle.

• A smile! J

What To Wear:

• We encourage you to dress in semi-casual attire with closed-toed shoes.

• Mask requirements vary by state, city, and local ordinances. We encourage you to come prepared in case it is a requirement for the station you are interviewing at. Good To Know:

• Be ready to answer questions related to your current and previous work experience. Highlight any experience you have that is related to the job description (i.e., customer service, organization and workload management, driving a commercial van, delivering packages, etc.)

• Prepare responses to questions like; “Why are you interested in this position?” “What skills and/or training do you have that would be applicable to the job?” “How is your driving record?” “Can you describe how you handled a stressful situation?”

• As a reminder, you are not interviewing with an Amazon associate, you are interviewing with a DSP representative. DSP is short for Delivery Service Partner. Amazon DSPs are independently owned and operated third-party companies that work with Amazon to manage the delivery of thousands of packages to customers throughout the year. DSP associates are not employees of Amazon.

• Be yourself and ask lots of questions. The interview is a two-way process. Use this time to ask questions related to hours, schedule, culture, benefits, etc. Some example questions can be; “What type of training will I receive?” “What are the successful traits of your best delivery associates?” “Who will I be reporting to?”
