Press Operators are responsible for operating and tending injection molding machines, visual quality inspection, packaging, labeling, and moving of product.

My job duties would vary depending on what product needed to be made for that day and what machine I would be working on.

• Check work orders / deadlines to plan production goals for the day/week.

• Set up machine for production.

• Find the mold needed for production by locating product number.

• Measure mold with tape measure.

• Get material (plastic rolls) needed for production, based on product width/height with forklift.

• Use a crane lift to lift material in the air to secure it onto a cutting machine.

• Set up machine according to the measurements taken from the mold.

• Do the math from the order sheet to figure out how many sheets of plastic need to be cut in order to produce the total number of parts needed for customer's order, according to the measurements taken from the mold.

• Do the math to figure out how many sheets need to be cut-Example: Total number of parts needed by customers order divided by the number of parts on mold cutout.

• Set timer on cutting machine and cut plastic sheets.

• If parts need taped, they would go to the taping table before being placed into the oven to be baked.

• Set the appropriate temperature/bake time on parts oven according to the product being baked and bake products.

• Set up parts cutting machine with correct cutting measurements according to product manual, using hand tools.

• Place finished baked / taped plastic sheets onto parts cutting machine to cut out the parts needed for production of orders.

• Cut parts are then stripped from the rest of the plastic sheet, then place into boxes with correct product number on the box.

• If parts need to be folded or have any cutouts in them they would then go to the machines and the Front Warehouse to be folded or have holes punched out in them.

• Once parts are finished there they are carefully counted and placed back into their correct boxes, the boxes are then taped up.

• Taped boxes are then taken to a scale to be weighed so their label can be made.

• The labels are then printed and placed on the box.

• The boxes then go to the shipping station to be shipped out. Bartender/Server

• Put my code into the system so I can count down drawer make sure correct money / bills are in drawer and have enough cash for the day.

• Make sure everything is stopped behind the bar for the day/night including beer/licker, produce, shot glasses / beer glasses.

• Make sure all glasses are clean and that there is no dirty dishes in the dishwasher.

• Begin prep work which may include cutting of fruits / vegetables for drinks/cocktails and feeling syrup bottles.

• Make sure work area is clean for customers.

• Take customers drink / food order from bar.

• Put customers drinks/food order into the system and save their order to be sent to kitchen.

• Mix/pore drinks according to customers order and wait for kitchen to bring up customers food order to the bar window.

• Serve correct food / drink orders to the correct customers.

• Customers then can pay for their meal/drink with a credit card on an open tab or prepaid tab or use cash.

• Cash customers out and provide them with a receipt.

• Make sure they enjoy their experience by providing excellent customer service the whole time.

• At the end of my shift I would then clean all dirty dishes and place all clean dishes in the stock area.

• Make sure everything is stocked and ready to go for the shift coming in after me.

• Make sure my work area is clean not the end of my shift.

• Balance all of my credit card / cash receipts out to collect all of my credit card and cash tips and make sure my drawer is balanced at the end of my shift.

• Run end of shift report, check the report for accuracy, sign the report and place the report in the bottom of my drawer for supervisor.

Distribution associate/Equipment Operator

• Get the order sheet from supervisor.

• Grab a charged pallet jack and a charged handheld scanner.

• Put my code/batch numbers into the scanner.

• Drive pallet jack around Warehouse to the correct aisle to grab the correct products based on product number on order sheet.

• Pull the correct amount of product and scan barcode on products then place product/products into the gaylord on pallet jack.

• I have retrieved all items on my order sheet I would then drive the completed order list in the Gaylord up to the shipping station.

• I would then drive the Gaylord into the marked area in the shipping station for it to be automatically wrapped.

• Once the Gaylord is completely wrapped it goes through a belt over to a machine that prints out a label for it.

• I would place the correct shipping label on the Gaylord and take it over to the dock and unload it.

• I would then grab another order list from my supervisor or complete direct orders from supervisor to do other various tasks.

As a machine operator/packer at Deimling Jeliho Plastics, I would operate a machine that produced plastic or rubber parts. I would run parts through the machine to certain company standards, while checking the machine and parts periodically, making sure of no defects or errors.
