Projects (Data Science):

• Non Transformer Vs. Transformer NLP Models (Python): Developed an NLP non- transformer model that performed significantly better than BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Rep- resentations from Transformers) on social media hate speech classification on stratified samples. The research is ongoing on other large language models (LLMs) including the GPTs.

• LSA & PySpark (Python): Developed unsupervised NLP technique LSA (Latent Semantic Analysis) model for topic modeling from unlabeled news data and analyzed performance comparing with BERT and LDA. Another project was developed using Apache Spark™ MLib on the heart failure clinical dataset, and compared performance with the traditional ML libraries.
