Mr. Joseph Owusu has over 20 years of professional experience covering both the downstream and upstream sectors of the oil and gas business including commercialization of oil and gas assets, mergers and acquisitions, risk management (application of derivatives and hedging instruments) and strategic sourcing. He is also a seasoned negotiator with compelling understanding of petroleum Joint Ventures and Production Sharing Agreements. Managing Director, Intership Marine Ghana Limited (Accra, Ghana): 2017 to Present Mr. Owusu is currently the Managing Director of Intership Marine Ghana Limited, the Ghanaian Joint Venture Company providing accommodation vessel services to Tullow Oil at the Jubilee oilfield. Intership Marine Ghana Limited is the operator and management company of Lancelot, a six hundred and twenty bed accommodation vessel. Lancelot has been in operation is Ghana since November 2017. As Managing Director of the Joint Venture, he is responsible for setting goals and objectives for the organization and develop strategies and implementation plans for execution. He manages the business relationship between all the key stakeholders; including the Petroleum Commission and Tullow Oil.

Chief Executive Officer, JILMEC Company Limited (Accra, Ghana): 2018 - 2019 Until recently, Mr. Owusu was the Chief Executive Officer of JILMEC; the Local Partner of MODEC PRODUCTION SERVICES GHANA JV Limited, the company Operating and Maintaining the two FPSOs Kwame Nkrumah and John Atta Mills for Tullow Ghana Limited. Mr. Owusu played a leading role in the formation and management of the joint venture partnership with MODEC Ghana Limited, a pioneer FPSO Operations and Maintenance company in Ghana. Mr. Owusu was a leader in the formation of JILMEC the Joint Venture company between Mansa Engineering and Jonmoore International Company, the two Ghanaian companies that combined to form a joint venture with Modec Ghana Limited which is now known as MODEC PRODUCTION SERVICES GHANA JV Limited. Mr. Owusu played a key role in the negotiations between Modec Ghana Limited and JILMEC which lead to the creation of the first joint venture two Ghanaian companies and a multinational company in the oil and gas sector. Mr. Owusu as the Chief Executive officer of JILMEC engaged with the partner to create a Localization Plan with a clear aim at developing Ghanaian nationals through transfer of technology, knowledge and skills. During Mr. Owusu’s term at JILMEC, he helped to improve working relationship with between MODEC and the Petroleum Commission and it was during that time that MODEC initiated the process of recruiting the first Ghanaian Managing Director. Prior to Mr. Owusu’s corporate experience in Ghana, he was based in Houston and worked with several multinational oil and gas companies including Texaco, Chevron, CITGO Petroleum and Hess Corporation.

Commercial Team Lead, ChevronTexaco (Houston, TX): 2000 - 2003 At Texaco, which later became ChevronTexaco, he participated in a $4 billion negotiation for commercial agreement between ChevronTexaco and Nigeria government for the development of the Agbami field (Approx. 1.2 billion barrels of recoverable oil and equivalents), the first Deepwater discovery in Nigeria by ChevronTexaco and the largest in the world at the time. Mr. Owusu was responsible for coordinating all the activities between Texaco and its Nigerian joint venture partner Famfa Oil Limited, which is now a leading indigenous oil company in Nigeria. Mr. Owusu served as an Economic Advisor to a team of experts put together by Chevron to conduct a study to determine the best location for a shore base to support Chevron’s deep-water operation in Nigeria.

Team Lead, Corporate Planning & Strategy, CITGO (Houston, TX): 2003 - 2005 While at CITGO Petroleum Mr. Owusu led a team of Investment Bankers and CITGO commercial managers to build economic models for the valuation and divestiture of several CITGO Petroleum Corporation’s multi-million dollar assets, including Asphalt Plant, ownership interest in Lyondell-Citgo Refinery, ownership interest in Colonial Pipeline (the largest pipeline network in the US) and Explorer Pipeline. During the same period, Mr. Owusu was an Advisor to the Executive Committee members of a Joint Venture between Citgo Petroleum, ConocoPhillips and Sasol to determine the economic value for NISCO in Lake Charles, LA, the largest pet coke CFB power plant in the world.

Manager, Global Supply Chain Management, Hess Corporation(Houston, TX): 2005 - 2011 During his time at Hess Corporation, he developed and managed the Market Intelligence outfit within the organization and provided strategic advice to Senior Management, Account and Category Managers to structure contracts aimed at reducing exploration, development and production cost. He was responsible for providing upstream capital cost forecast for both short and long term corporate planning and capital budgeting. Mr. Owusu was the first Hess Supply Chain Manager in Ghana and was responsible for contracts, local content compliance and interfaced with Ghana government agencies.

Consultant, EO Group(Houston, TX/Ghana): 2003 - 2012 Mr. Owusu served also as a consultant to the EO Group, the Ghanaian own oil and gas company credited for its partnership with Kosmos Energy which led to the first commercial discovery of oil and gas in Ghana. He was the economic and strategic adviser to the Directors of EO Group. Mr. Owusu played a key role for EO Group during the commercial negotiation in the July 2011 Share Purchase Agreement with Tullow Oil to offload EO Group's 3.5% interest in the West Cape Three Point partnership at a transactional value of $305 million dollars. He served on the Board of Directors of EO Group from 2007 till 2012 and was Country Manager of EO Group operations in Ghana from 2011 to 2012.

Mr. Owusu was a Director and a founding member of Redstone Company Limited, a Private Equity firm in Ghana since 2012, Mansa Engineering and Mansa Energy both of which are local Ghanaian oil services companies

Mr. Owusu has B.S. in Physics and Geology from the University of Ghana and MBA-Finance from Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta, Georgia. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International. Mr. Owusu has made presentations at several oil and gas round-tables including CERAWEEK, a highly recognized industry forum in Houston, TX. Mr. Owusu is a member of the Ghana Association in Houston, a former executive member and remains actively involved in the community.
