Specific Duties/Roles:
Ensure optimum deployment of staff and ensures shifts are appropriately arranged.
Implements, monitors and controls work efficiently.
Gathers information on bird strike incidents and sightings continuously and documents appropriately.
Over sees on the job training needs and recommended appropriate basic/ local and external trainings.
Guides staff by allocating appropriate duties as per their designated functions and ensures their completion by following the laid down rules, regulations and procedures.
Ensures timely and effective completion of tasks assigned to staff within the set time limits through staff control and effective supervision.
Ensures timely delivery of goods and services belonging to the unit.
Audit unit’s operations and advise the concerned authorities accordingly.

Specific Duties/Roles:
Supervise the foot patrollers and ensuring proper deployment and strategic coverage.
Conduct 24 hours’ runway inspections before any aircraft landing, takeoff.
Liaise with Air Traffic Control Officer on duty, informing him or her of the status of the runway prior to aircraft movement.
Record data on bird population, species, and any other wildlife found at Entebbe International Airport for research purposes.
Keep continuous watch and Surveillance for any birds and wild animals.
Ensure that the Environment is not bird friendly and discourage bird settlement.
