Duties and Responsibilities:

Review of mill certificates for materials and welding consumables and inspection of incoming material as per specification, standard.

Familiar with structural drawing, general arrangement drawing, weld map.

Fit up and visual inspection of welding joints before and after welding.

To check the proper electrodes are used for the respective materials and the temp has been maintained as per the electrode manual and WPS.

Monitoring preheat, inter pass temperature and post weld heat treatment as per WPS.

Preparation of request for inspection and reports for the clients and co-ordinate with the client representatives and surveyors.

Preparation of inspection report on daily basis and involving final document.

Carry out structural inspection on panel, sub assembly, assembly, and block erection stages.

Checking the acceptance criteria as per process and standard specification.

Preparing quality release note and documentation.

Recording Non conformance and rectify in the effective way.

Follow-up the Client inspection.

Monitoring of workers to immediately clear if any client’s comments.
