OBJECTIVE
I am returning to the workforce after twenty-three years of retirement from State government employment in Washington State, in order to secure a higher level of income that will enable me to meet emergent needs. I aim to provide my employer with the same high level of performance that I provided over the course of a 29-year career between 1971 and 2000.

Office Support Services Supervisor (Maintenance Office Manager)
Managed the office operations and administrative support services for the WSDOT Maintenance branch which had specific responsibility for bridge repairs and plant facilities maintenance work in the seven counties of southwest Washington. Supervised a staff of one to three office assistants in the performance of such functions as accounts payable, timekeeping for 28 employees, telephone customer service and reception activities, permits issuance, and processing of hiring papers and personnel action requests.
Other key duties included: coordinating inter-office and external correspondence, ordering supplies, equipment and services, preparing invitations to bid, monitoring expenditures on jobs in progress and preparing report data for the Superintendent’s use in planning and budgeting, and maintaining departmental records and databases.
Trained and proficient in using MS Word, Excel & Access. Between 1989 and 2000, I was the lead person responsible for the implementation of a computerized preventive maintenance database system in our branch, first using an Apple Macintosh platform, then on Windows NT machines.
