Larry has 30+ years experienced as a manager, project manager, construction manager, field engineer, design engineer, start-up and project engineer for utilities, engineering companies, engineering/construction companies, and contractors for power, control, lighting, fire detection systems, and security systems. (All under contract)
He is knowledgeable, proficient, confidant, works well with others and has a can do attitude that is reflected in his work and through his team. As a project manager he is time and budget conscious and quick to find solutions to project risks to assure that the project is completed on schedule and in budget. Additionally, he plans and schedules work to ensure compliance with all contract requirements, quality standards, and budget constraints. Ensures proper staffing levels are maintained to allow the effective execution of the assigned projects. Interfaces with stake holders, and senior management to keep them informed. Is responsible for and coordinates the construction activities with all involved crafts.

Detailed knowledge/experience: I have been providing design engineering (conceptual and modification) for years to many industries.
Although my base background is electrical I am familiar with mechanical and structural systems
(a requirement to perform start-up procedures, root or apparent cause evaluations, various assessments and project management). I started my career in the electrical field as a journeyman
electrician IBEW Local 2. Additionally I have an OSHA Electrical High Voltage Safety Certification
Although I do not possess a BS degree, I did attend school at night for many years and continue to take various continuing education classes. I graduated from two USAF electrical technical schools, attended/completed NELA Park Lighting School, and have been certified for Safety Reviews, Operability Assessments, Root and Apparent Cause evaluations and as a Contract Liaison at Nuclear Power Plants
I have been responsible for multi-projects (2 to 7) at a time and/or overseeing multiple teams, and have managed as many as twenty-two people at a time not counting craft personnel.
COMPETENCIES
Scheduling: Proficient with Microsoft Project and familiar with P6.
Estimating: Competent with electrical estimates and a good working knowledge of mechanical and structural requirements.
Conflict resolution and negotiation: Have been successful in the past with resolving conflicts and reaching acceptable resolutions through negotiations.
Legal awareness and contract writing: I have performed contract negotiations and have written contracts or drafts for contracts, with a legal department having the final say.
Cost control and accounting: Cost control maintained by remaining focused on the tasks at hand and proper scheduling and communication with all the various parties involved so that everyone understands what his task is and when it is required. The actual Accounting has always been performed by costs analysts, however that information is fully understood.

Senior Project Manager for “Core Exit Thermocouples”. This was a required Outage project and the outage was starting in 45 days. This was a very fast tracked project however estimates, project plan and schedule were all completed and approved in time for craft planners to complete installation plans/procedures prior to the outage This project was completed ahead of schedule and under the estimated budget.
Replace the Main Generator Step-Up Transformers. A charter was developed, negotiations with transformer vendor completed and a project plan was developed, a heavy haul path identified along with a full milestone schedule, risk register, a complete list of stakeholders and a project team developed, a cost and budget established. All was approved. The transformer build was 18 months and with no interim projects available I was transferred to the Farley Plant.
