Led the construction, licensing and opening of a brand new 40 bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Responsible for construction project management, licensing with the county for the kitchen inspection, the city for building and safety inspections, The Joint Commission for Accreditation and CMS Deemed Status for our Medicare Certification. Hired senior leadership team that opened the hospital. Was responsible for bottom line factors including company vision, long and short range strategic planning and fiscal success. Key Achievements:

Upon opening in October, 2009, was at capacity within three months and subsequently, oversaw a 20 bed expansion which opened in January, 2011 totaling 60 beds. Increased EBITDA from -$15 million to over $7 million per year. Increased Medicare mix from 60% to 68% (Medicare is most profitable payer for this industry). Increased Revenue per patient day from rom $958 to $1,350 Per Patient Day. Successfully negotiated all contracts for hospital.
