Highly motivated Malawian Electrical Engineer with a 13 years of experience in the Electrical Engineering Industry in Malawi. I possess an intensive experience in System protection, general electrical maintenance, project supervision, quality management and a wide range of technical know-how and problem solving skills having worked as an Engineer in Training at Illovo Sugar (ABB Foods group) in the factory and Irrigation sections as well as a Protection Engineer for Electricity Supply commission of Malawi (ESCOM), Malawi’s Electricity Utility company

WORK EXPERIENCE
1. Protection Engineer – North (ESCOM LTD 2016 to present) Responsibilities:
Producing monthly, weekly and other reports as required for the section and for the organization and the regulatory authority
Producing and conducting maintenance and fault clearing programs in the region. Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, equipment, electrical parts and fault clearing on all protection equipment on both transmission and distribution networks
Installing, wiring, testing and commissioning of Power Transformers, Voltage Transformers, Current Transformers, Protection Panels, Protection Relays, Automatic re-closers, Ring Main Units, 11KV Boards and all protection equipment on the network
Designing Protection and other system equipment circuit modifications to suit specific needs on the system
Supervising, monitoring, inspecting and general management of Protection (and Electrical engineering related) projects done by contractors. Approving of works done by contractors
Attending to site meetings, project progress/evaluation meetings, Factory acceptance Tests
