As Finance Director for the Florida Chapter of The Nature Conservancy (TNC), controlled $12MM budget and $50+ MM in assets across 14 offices with 140 employees. Oversaw finances for statewide lobbying campaign that resulted in $3 billion for land acquisition. Worked closely with philanthropy staff to plan for monitor an evaluate grants.

As TNC ‘s Northeast Florida Program Director launched a new regional conservation program in Northeast Florida that protected over 60,000 acres. Worked with major donors, public agencies, non-profits and stakeholders to create a conservation blueprint with a complex financing structure. Grew a support base of internal resources across departmental lines to support this effort.

Designed, negotiated and protected a 10,000-acre sea island preserve by developing extensive partnerships and raising $2MM in funds from private donors. Implemented management plan (including a complex

sovereign land strategy) with the National Park Service.

This organization evolved out of Jacksonville’s Preservation Project, a unique partnership between the City of Jacksonville, Florida State Parks, the National Park Service and The Nature Conservancy. The project connected 300,000 acres of land created 15 new urban parks and protected the lands and waters of Duval County.
