Hello. My name is Miranda Assalley, I am twenty four years old, and I graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a major in English. I am writing this in hopes that it will serve me well as I navigate changes in my career path. So far, the vast majority of my professional work experience has been with children in therapeutic and educational settings. My extensive background in applied behavioral analysis (ABA), as well as assistant teaching and respite work has equipped me with a diverse skill set that I believe will be valuable in contributing to your team's success. I am eager to leverage my skills and experiences to transition into a new career path that aligns with my long-term goals. Although I will always love children, I am ready to use the skills I have accumulated in a new environment.
Throughout my career in ABA and teaching, I have honed my abilities in effective communication, understanding different human behaviors, and demonstrating a consistent commitment to achieving high standards of performance. My track record of success (ex:being awarded employee of the year) is a testament to my adaptability, work ethic, and ability to quickly grasp new concepts. Although my professional journey has primarily been centered around children, I am enthusiastic about the prospect of bringing my passion and knowledge to a new job, and hopefully making a meaningful impact on your team.
Something that comes naturally to me is my dedication to continuous learning, as well as effective communication. Throughout my job search, I am actively pursuing companies who value these components. I am committed to seeking out a workplace that will be able to consider my potential, along with the knowledge base I am bringing from another field. I am hopeful that careful application of my previous work experience, and my determination to learn and improve, will allow me to adapt to the evolving demands of any role.
What excites me most about exploring a new field is the inspiration that comes from novelty. I am particularly drawn to the thought of not only leveraging my transferable skills in new ways, but also utilizing my area of study as an English major. I am confident that my strong work ethic, adaptability, and passion for learning make me a valuable candidate for a role in a new industry.
Thank you for considering my application. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss in more detail how my experiences and skills align with the needs of your team. Thank you for your time!
