Current Research

Research on non-idiomatic improvisation and its applications in the context of music composition postulating a practical/performance approach to piano and group improvisation.

The research proposes combining music composition tools (set theory, counterpoint) with instrumental improvisation to enable instantaneous musical creation, and without relying on a harmonic framework. The two components comprise intervallic, and textural (non-pitch related) improvisation.
