PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

My job description has changed over the years from being an Oil Field Hand to a Wind Turbine Foreman. With growth I extended my training To becoming a Rigger and signal man for the main crane to becoming a Certified Crane Operator. My primary goal is to provide the highest level of Health and Safety support on the job in the mission zero incidents on site. I have years of experience in the field recognizing unsafe conditions and identifying hazards as well as mitigating them in accordance with OSHA and company guidelines. I work well independently or in team settings. I’ve worked as a hand, a lead man, a foreman and crane operator in operations of several different departments from base to blade tension, nacelle prep, top out as a flagger for the crane, as well as connected receptacles tower wiring. I’ve worked in base operations in MCC and Quality Control. I’ve worked on mid-size multicultural live unit projects and prepared to work in any and all environments. I understand the importance of providing full time field coverage and quality during daily operations. I work well with supervisors, management and employees.

Key responsibilities:

Followed related safety regulations, contract requirements, company policies and operating procedures.

Determined crane’s load chart and rigging weight to calculate net capacity of every possible configuration

Inspected and maintained inventory of all slings, chains, ropes, and shackles.

Operated and set crane into position to make critical/tandem lifts after reviewing load chart and weight of the load.

Installed turning gears, flagged in and connected the hub to the nacelle, wired in yaw box and oiler box, hooked up pump hoses for the turning gear and did a function test to make sure everything worked accordingly for the vestas 110/120.

Set base tower section and tension to required specs.

Managed employees stacking lower-mid section install bolts and torque to required specs.

Offload and level nacelle & install drive train assembly.

Ensured prep hub for install and prepare all mentioned components for MCC.

Timely report to work and lead in morning operational meetings to discuss work assignments, assigned work areas and target marks.

Maintaining good communication with co-workers completed pre-operational paperwork before starting work. Made sure documents were filled out and supervisors’ signatures were present.

Key responsibilities:

Inspecting contractors assigned work areas prior to the start of work to ensure the area is safe to work.

Inspecting tools and heavy equipment for job readiness.

Preparing daily JSAs, reviewing risk assessments and critical lifting plans.

Pre operational job briefings. Getting with supervision to discuss job scope, the contractors assigned to complete the work to make sure everyone is on the same page to get the work accomplished safely.

Managed the installation hub and turning gear assemblies on Vestas 100’s.
