Thesis: Prevalence of Helicobacter Pylori in Males & Females in Rawalpindi and Islamabad Description:The objective of the study was to determine the prevalence of H. pylori in Males and Females at Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Pakistan and to assess the factors associated with H. pylori infection. This study was carried out in IDC in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.Out of 230 samples, 130 samples were performed by Stool Antigen method. Remaining 100 samples was performed by ELISA method. A total of 130 adults participated in the study represented in table 1. Adult range between 10 to 70 years was the age ratio of participants. H. Pylori positivity was 75% among adults and 60% in old age group. The study suggested that H pylori can be transmitted by either way. Transmission can be prevented by maintaining good hygienic practices. Higher Secondary School Certificate
