As a bilingual safety representative, I’m responsible for being up to date regarding Cal-OSHA and EHS regulations. Responsibilities include traveling to clients’ job sites or businesses in the Bay Area or the Fresno region for 4 to 5 appointments a day, either job site inspections (food processing facilities, construction companies, hospitals or office environments), safety lessons to client employees at their locations. I’m responsible for learning the lesson that the client has chosen (i.e. PPE, EAP, IIPP, Fire Extinguisher training, HAZCOM, SDS etc.) and present the lesson in an energetic manner so that the employees (large groups or one on one) can engage and ask questions so that it helps maintain the employer in compliance with Cal-OSHA regulations. Safety is essential to maintain companies productive. I take this into consideration for every job. I take photos for my client, send reports as soon as I have the information and manage monthly expense reports. Learned and communicated all changes regarding client contacts and locations. Teaching comes natural to me and clients find me amiable and professional in my instruction, especially when switching between English and Spanish. I have a broad base of knowledge in the safety field, including OSHA and am able to use that experience to efficiently benefit clients and their employees. As a Line Supervisor, my duties included the safety of the employees and the quality of the finished product, a daily production schedule and meeting deadlines, training employees on safety procedures, maintaining HAACP and following GMP’s, filling out “Near miss Reports “and assisted in filing out Workers Compensation paper work. I kept an open line of communication to all departments. Abiding and enforcing EHS regulations.
