I have been in the position since October 2021. I am responsible for new hires and in service training for all employees for their specific position. CPR/AED and First Aid certified thru Red Cross, I am also certified to teach Communication and De Escalation, Unarmed Defensive Techniques, Trainer for Trainers. I also as needed at each facility, help out on the floor with count, medication monitoring, chow turn out and anything else they need help with. I am willing to try new things and not afraid to ask questions. When I am done with new employees pre service training, I make sure if they have any questions, they know how to reach out to me, and I will help in any way possible. I accomplished the training schedule per TDCJ contract as requested by Ms. Packwood before the due date. I am also willing to go in anytime and train for in service to make sure all employees are trained by the end of the year. I enjoy what I do, I like finding out what the staffs, expectations are for their positions and encourage them to apply for other positions as they become available and would like to continue the training.
